Staring at the FUTURE...
What would you do if you had knowledge about the future?
What if you could know what would happen
tomorrow? Or what would happen next week? Or next month? Or maybe next year?
What changes would you make to benefit from this information?
I have very often wished if I could know about today a month ago... even a week ago... even if it
was yesterday. I would have made decisions which would have benefited
immensely. It may be monetary benefits, improvements in personal relationships,
or just help someone from getting hurt or something else that would be of any
benefit to me, my loved ones or even strangers. But unfortunately it’s not to
be! It's impossible for us to know what the future holds except for predictions
which may just be as good as to not giving any thought about all these at the
first place.
But over the years what I have realized is that, the future sends back signs and signals to us living in the present. One may think that this as a rubbish thought, for here is someone talking in terms of time travel, and back tracking. But the fact is that-Time is just a relative phenomenon. Even otherwise, if you look back at it, there is a cyclical phenomenon to several events that occur- History repeats itself.
We always live in the present. We most often conveniently forget things
we would have heard, or thought about the future from certain events,
discussions, article or some other data which suggested to events that may
happen in the future, at an earlier date. It is just quite ignorant and
careless of us that we do not comprehend or decode these signals to understand
and apply the way it is meant to be, but also repeating the mistakes of not
remembering a valid thought that we may have had years ago, or rather
dismissing one as a chance event, repeating it over and over again, often subconsciously,
or rather we do not find it interesting enough. We are rather very reluctant to
change. We find it difficult to accept things that are unknown to us, which our
half baked mind, or rather a mind with little knowledge and a hell lot of ego,
does not let us accept it. Now this is not a new phenomenon. It’s just a
repetition of what has happened when Galileo said that the earth was spherical;
we are just averse to change. Apparently there are morons who still believe
that it is flat.LOL!
We are living at a time when every day is new and everyday is different from the day before. The changes that is constantly happening around us is so amazing that I'm often awestruck, thinking about it. As ever the internet has revolutionized the way we acquire knowledge. The amount of data and information that is available out there for "the one who is seeking it" is so mind blowing. We should be considered fortunate enough to be living in these times that we have so much information available about all the innovative thinking, discoveries, brilliant inventions or even the thoughts and ideas of the best brains in the world available right at our fingertip. Never ever had there been a time that human being has been living every moment with a world of knowledge and wealth in their hands or rather hand-held.
With the same blessings come the curse of technology, for not more
than 0.5% of those blessed souls move beyond WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube,
Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter. The endless hours wasted over social media,
human mass programming or TV news, soaps, and reality crowd shit has and is
eating human hours like cancer. Not that any of these media are bad, it’s just
what and how we make use of it. YouTube is one of the best innovations of this
decade, or maybe even century you may say. Education and enlightenment has
never been simpler and fulfilling. There are hours or rather years worth of
information and knowledge out there for the ones who seek. For the rest of
them, there is - Dhinchak Pooja
Before we completely deviate from the topic , which often happens due my flight of thoughts, I'd come back right to matters.
I will just share a bit about this technological revolution that is hitting our sphere and is spreading around us. The thing about great inventions and great paradigms like the internet is that you actually don’t know how it was the day it was made. Everything looks beautiful in hindsight. And you may be very well be able to describe how and what happened. e.g.:- How Google came it to being and how it expanded to a creating an ecosphere around us, gradually creeping in and colonizing the daily life of two-thirds of the global population via- Android, whether they know it or not. Now this is a paradigm shift of an even mammoth of a magnitude. This is like the invention of internet itself, reinvented again-The Blockchain.
The blockchain is undeniably an ingenious invention – the brainchild of a person or group of people known by the pseudonym, Satoshi Nakamoto. But since then, it has evolved into something greater. By allowing digital information to be distributed but not copied, blockchain technology created the backbone of a new type of internet, a form of distributed ledger that cannot be tampered with.
This tech is so revolutionary that it is going to change the way we interact, perform tasks, document, transact etc. Now what problem does it solve? It solves one essential process that we go through so many times a day- TRUST!!!
Trust also forms the most integral
part or one of the most important pillars of all transactions, commerce and
processes in the financial, economical and trading fields.
We are now moving into an era where we will no more be
worried about trust issues in majority of our affairs since all our processes
will be running on trust-less systems and digital ledgers or blockchains that
are tamper-proof.
The biggest perpetrators
of fraud, theft and robbery- the central banks, politicians and the bureaucracy
in general are going to have a run for their money. The world will be a
much better place to live in and transact, but the problems we face then will
be quite different from our problems today. The problems will still persist...
LOL.
Blockchain is so revolutionary that it is going to eat into all systems in the world, and I believe it's going to happen faster than we can imagine, for it is happening already as we speak. We are like sitting at the ground floor of something like Burj Khalifa, and imagining - This definitely can’t be over 2 stories high!
In short, someone with keen foresight and vision for the future should definitely look into and understand the power of this awesome technology and find if and how you can benefit from it somehow. An early mover advantage is always there in everything.
This blog just
intends to create an interest in the reader about the Blockchain technology and
I hope this will pave the way for you to read more about it and imbibe.
