Mocking at the Mirror
Went for Fast and Furious 8 (Fate of the Furious) yesterday.... After all the chases, blasts, flying cars and bouncing submarines, handling a torpedo with bare hands and all the crazy s@#t, it just put me into thinking... Thinking if we've really evolved as human beings. The amount of non sensical scenes in present day movies,is so unrealistic, beyond the realms of imagination, that a 4 yr old might stand up and ask- Oh No! That's impossible! Whats wrong with you people? where's gravity gone?
But we still sit with a bag of popcorn and enjoy this never ending charade of visual diarrhoea.
I was very reluctant going for this movie but my brother in laws kids forced me to accompany them. Heard ff8 crossed records of ff7 and is a way lot better than the previous one. Now i wonder how that was?
I think we're driving ourselves to a world of fantasy where we enjoy unrealistic, unimaginable mended into our real world, and we swallow it without any guilt. If we think back at the movies of 70's-80's, we used to mock them of their fight scenes where heros would just jump off 10ft high from base ground over to the villain, and every punch would sound like someone playing drum hit the cymbal... And we mocked them - Boo Boo..
So what are we doing now? This is probably affirms my conviction, that everything happens in cycles... N that's how the world goes..
History repeats and is probably mocking at us and we do not know. We were rather mocking at mirror in our childhood. Mocking at the Mirror of Time.
